The network was set up by Andrew Rogers in 2024, prompted by meeting many researchers who were using qualitative and/or quantitative research methods to investigate Bible users. Enthusiasm for meeting up to share ideas and research experiences led to forming this network. Given the international spread of such research to date, an online network seemed the best approach. Our first meeting was on 3rd June 2024 where we shared our research experiences so far, and we have been meeting three times a year since then (i.e. termly).
A Bible user is anyone who engages with the Bible, within or without the church. And it can include the researcher themselves. The network welcomes all researchers who have, are, or will be engaged in Bible user research from any discipline using qualitative or quantitative methods. We have members from across the globe, bringing a range of perspectives to our conversations.
If you are interested in Bible user research and would like to join our conversations, then do get in touch with the network convenor using the Contact page, saying a few words about your interest in the field.
